The Sky Blues found it tough earlier today against Letham Blacks at the Campus Astro. The Perth based side are undoubtably the top team in Perth. They have a fair bit of ability, have some top players & pass the ball really well.
However what I admired most today was how “streetwise” they were, especially for 9 years of age. They were physical, got their body in & generally did what some might call “the dirty side to the game”.
Our lads complained a bit but I stressed to them that we need to do that to them too. We were too nice today.
You always learn more from a defeat than a victory & i’m hoping that\'ll be the case with our boys today.
Most of the boys found it tough today but they’ll take it on the chin, get back to training on Wednesday & knuckle down in time for next weeks PKYFA Festival.
