The Maroons travelled to face Jeanfield Swifts on a hot sunny afternoon earlier today. We competed well in phases & with a bit more belief we could have come away with a favourable result.
However it was not to be with a 5-3 defeat which was tough to take.
The incroachmemt of the home side into the retreating line didn’t help our cause but we needed to be sharper at important times of the game. At the end of the day, a couple of soft goals cost us but again we’ll take positives from the game.
It’s another 40+ minutes of game time for most, Fraser Johnston looks to be returning to form & Mark S up front looked busy, scored twice & held the ball up far better today.
Cameron had a decent game again between the sticks.
